Abstract Submission Process

Abstracts can be submitted in Fall 2008. Please carefully follow the submission directions given below. Through this format you will send required information and upload a Microsoft Word version of your abstract.

After submission, an electronic copy of the abstract and information provided about the presenter(s) and faculty mentor(s) will be sent to the student who submitted the abstract as well as to each of the co-presenters and faculty mentors listed on the form. The faculty mentor will be asked to verify approval of the submission’s contents. If the faculty mentor does not approve the submission, he or she will be given a code to enable revision of the abstract so it can be resubmitted when edited and approved.

After the Spring 2009 submission deadline, the members of the Symposium’s Faculty Program Committee will review the abstracts and select those that will be presented at the Symposium in the beginning of May, 2009. Presenters and faculty mentors will receive e-mail notification of the Committee’s decisions before the end of March. Additional communications about the Symposium program and schedule will be sent through e-mail. Registration for the Symposium will begin in Spring 2009, the program and presentations will be open to the UCR community and guests.
